BRISTOL, Tenn. (Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010) – The March race weekend of 2009 featured the addition of two events designed to make the already action-packed Bristol experience even more exciting for race fans. Those events, the Scotts EZ Seed Showdown and Food City Race Night, along with spectacular NASCAR action, return in 2010.

Over the course of the March 19-21 events at Bristol Motor Speedway, fans will enjoy Food City Race Night, Ford Fan Friday qualifying, the Scotts Turf Builder 300 Nationwide race, the Scotts EZ Seed Showdown, and the Food City 500 Sprint Cup event. It is definitely a true race fan’s dream weekend at what is NASCAR’s most popular track.

“Our goal has always been to make sure the fans have a wonderful experience and to give them added value,” said BMS president and general manager Jeff Byrd. “I truly believe that our March race weekend package, as well as our season ticket package, offers fans the greatest value in the sport.

“We have a season ticket package that features nine total events over the course of the March and August race weekends that starts at $199. That’s the two most popular Sprint Cup races in the sport, along with a pair of always spectacular Nationwide races, the Truck event, the Showdown, a Modified event, qualifying and the Food City Race Night. That’s one heck of a lot of racing for under $200.”

While the season ticket is available now, so is a March race weekend package. For just $99, fans can see three days of action, starting with Ford Fan Friday qualifying March 19, followed by Saturday’s doubleheader, the Scotts Turf Builder 300 and the Scotts EZ Seed Showdown, culminating with the Food City 500 on Sunday.

For fans who can only attend the Food City 500, single-day tickets also are available, starting at $93. Tickets for Saturday’s doubleheader begin at only $45 while fans can watch Ford Fan Friday qualifying for only $5, then attend Food City Race Night at BMS for free.

Food City Race Night takes place in the hospitality area at BMS and features numerous driver appearances, along with live music, free food sampling and a variety of other fun events.

Drivers already scheduled to participate in the on-stage activities include Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman and Jeff Burton.

The Scotts EZ Seed Showdown, formerly the Saturday Night Special, features retired NASCAR drivers competing in a 35-lap event. Among this year’s competitors are Cale Yarborough, Jack Ingram, Dave Marcis, Jimmy Hensley, Tommy Houston and Phil Parsons.
