Tim Russell Wins AMF Chassis 100 at Auburndale Speedway
Press Release“Florida Standout Wins for Third Straight Race Early In the 2010 Season”

“It was a great win for us at Auburndale,” said Russell. “That makes three in a row for us, so we are definitely on a roll early on this season. We have been on some good rolls in the past, but we have been very good the last few weeks.”
For Russell, it was his first trip to Auburndale Speedway and just like some of his previous trips to new venues he ended up winning the race. He also won in his first ever start at Bronson Motor Speedway a few years back. Russell bested a 23-car field of Super Late Models by leading all 100 laps from the pole. Russell timed in third fastest and got the pole on the redraw.
“We just have to use our heads when we go to a new track like Auburndale,” said Russell. “We took a few laps in practice to get the line figured out. We got the car dialed in early on and it was pretty good. Auburndale is a quarter-mile and that’s not what we are used to so it just speaks a lot for our team quickly we adjust to a new track.”
The news doesn’t get any better for the rest of the Super Late Model world as the next big race of the year is at New Smyrna – where Tim Russell is the defending champion.
“We are having a great year and hopefully we can keep it going this coming weekend at New Smyrna,” added Tim Russell. “We have won a bunch there is the past and we won this race a year ago. It’s been a lot of fun in 2010 and we just want to keep it going.”
Tim Russell will be back in action this weekend on Saturday, April 24th for the Annual Billie Harvey Memorial 100 at the New Smyrna Speedway (FL).
