Derek White Set For A Full Season In The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series
Press Release
With a total of four cars in their stable the DPW/OCR Gaz Bar Race Team has been extremely busy preparing their fleet for the start of the season. “We brought two cars with us to Delaware for the test day so that we could get them both through Tech and make sure everything was set for the start of the season” said driver Derek White. “When everything checked out we hit the track to shake down both cars” he added.
What the team found was that not only was the DPW/OCR Gaz Bar Race car fit to race but also extremely quick. “At first I had a little trouble with the brakes” said White. “I had a little too much front brake bias dialed into the car and when I went into the corner the back end wanted to come around. Once we adjusted that the car was very good” he concluded.
With the testing schedule completed the DPW/OCR Gaz Bar Race Team are completing the final preparations to begin the 2010 racing season. “We’re in pretty good shape to start the year” said White. “We have cars ready; the guys are working to finish the last things up before we start the year but the whole team is really excited about the start of the year and seeing how we measure up in this great series”.
The #99 DPW/OCR Gaz Bar Race Team would like to thank the following sponsors for their support during the 2010 season: Game Busters, MJ Construction, LES Terraces enenchates, Snakes Poker and O.T.T.
Derek White and the #99 DPW/OCR Gas Bar Team will open the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series racing season on Saturday June 5th at Delaware Speedway just outside London, ON.
