Theft Sidelines Vision Racing’s Championship Hopes
Press Release

TULSA, OK. – June 3rd, 2010 Vision Racing is disappointed to announce that they are not able to compete this weekend at Springport Michigan this coming weekend. “Our hopes of challenging for the “rookie of the year” and “championship” were wiped out over the Memorial Day weekend as thieves broke into the race shop and cleared out all of our tools and the majority of our pit support equipment along with carburetors, radios, four wheelers and motorcycles”

“This came at a terrible time due to the long holiday weekend, the guys were off and the shop was closed and our response time to rebuild was limited” said team owner Adrian Berryhill. “We really feel we had a great shot at our goals with Tanner this year but after qualifying second at Rockingham and then falling out of the race with engine failure, it just doesn’t look like we can recover this year with such a limited number of races on the Sunoco National Tour.” “We love what the Varney’s are doing with the Sunoco National Tour and fully support the direction of the series and its goals” said Berryhill. “We will try to rebuild our program but this is a huge set back financially for our team”. “This is the first year our team has limited marketing partners and we are in a greater need now than ever” said Berryhill.

Vision Racing is currently competing with two full time drivers, Tanner Berryhill and Cameron Hagin. Berryhill is in his second year of Challenge Series competition and will be competing in his first ARCA start in July at Iowa Speedway in a car purchased from Kevin Harvick Racing. Hagin is a rookie to stock car style racing and will be competing in a number of events on a National level as well as a regional level as he gains experience to move up in the ranks toward his goals of racing in NASCAR.

Both Vision Racing drivers are sixteen years old and have several championships behind them. “I’m really upset that we aren’t able to continue our goals this year but I’m grateful the team is working hard to regroup for Indianapolis, who knows crazier things have happened, maybe we will win the rest of the races and have shot anyway!” said the young driver, Tanner Berryhill.

Vision Racing ask to notify them if you see pit guns, scales, carburetors, digital pyrometers, racing radios, race jacks and other asphalt racing equipment for sale with Oklahoma area codes (405,918) There are only a few asphalt teams located in the Oklahoma area so any lead would be very helpful.
