CRA Super Series To Go 100 Green, Double Up At Gresham Motorsports Park On July 17
Press Release
The CRA feature – the US Auto Sales World Series of Speed 100 – would be just that, 100 laps of green-flag racing cautions not counting. Additionally, restarts for the CRA Super century battle will be double file, not single file this time around.
The CRA cars and stars opened the 2010 Gresham Motorsports Park racing season when a total of 26 competitors took the green flag on Saturday, March 13. Augie Grill took the win over Chase Elliott, Bubba Pollard, Jason Hogan and Mike Garvey that evening.
Another full field – along with competition in the Outlaw Late Model, Renegade Street Stock, Mini Stock, Truck and Mini-Cup divisions – will be featured in the Saturday, July 17 program.
“We’re very excited to have the CRA Super Series come back to Gresham Motorsports Park,” said GMP General Manager Dan Elliott. “They put on a very competitive event with lots of action and drama the last time they were here in March and we anticipate they will do that again. We should have great racing in all of our divisions on July17. It’s going to be a great show.”
An open test for all divisions competing in the US Auto World Series of Speed at GMP will be held on Friday, July 16. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. Eastern Time. There is no inspection fee for this test and pit passes are just $20. A two-day, weekend pit pass will also be available for $55 on Friday.
Sunoco 110 race fuel will be available to purchase at this test.
Additionally, the GMP Infield Concession Stand will be open that evening.
The public is welcome to view the open test free of charge from the GMP Trackside Parking Area beginning at 5 p.m. Friday. Gresham Motorsports Park is located next to the Jackson County Airport at 500 Lyle Field Road in Jefferson, GA.
The test will feature rotating division of on-track testing from 6-9 p.m. GMP will close at 9:30 p.m. Friday and reopen the pit area on Saturday – raceday – at 11:30 a.m. Spectator and Trackside Parking opens at 2 p.m.

Opened as Jefco Speedway with a NASCAR Late Model Sportsman (now Nationwide) race in 1967, Gresham Motorsports Park has served the auto racing community for more than 40 years. The half-mile asphalt oval located just outside Jefferson, GA underwent a complete renovation in 2009. In 2010, the multi-use motorsports facility will host a wide range of Stock Car Racing events including the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, USARacing Pro Cup Series, Super, Pro and Outlaw Late Models, Trucks Street Stocks and US Legends International competition.
Additionally, Jackson County’s largest event center will be the site of numerous other events including the Opening Ceremonies for the 2010 Dizzy Dean Little League World Series, the Georgia Electric Car Rally and the Laps For Literacy Fun Run/Walk. Drifting and Motorcycle shows, local and regional Craft Shows, Car Shows, Concerts and other community activities are also being considered for 2010.
