Even though Germain Racing’s front-running NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team is idle until July 11, the operation has its three other teams in action this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in cozy Loudon.

While Max Papis and Michael Annett will make their respective Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series bids, the focus also was on helping rookie Zach Germain experience success in Friday’s race in the K&N Pro Series East.

Germain did ring up a top-20 finish, starting 18th and ending up 17th. Germain was one of the six cars that finished one lap down to race winner Ryan Truex, brother of NASCAR star Martin Truex, Jr.

Zach Germain lives in Columbus, Ohio, and is the son of Steve Germain and nephew of Bob Germain and Rick Germain.
