DJ Shaw – No. 60 Precision JLM Chevrolet

- DJ Shaw is the son of Dale Shaw, 1994 K&N Pro Series East Champion.

- D.J. Shaw is currently seventh in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East championship standings with five of ten races complete. Thusfar, his best finish this season has been fifth place at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in South Carolina. He’s posted a total of one top-five and three top-10 finishes. Of 807 possible laps, Shaw has completed 806 with an average start of 13th and an average finish of 10th.

-This will be Shaw’s first start at Lime Rock Park.

- Last week at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Shaw qualified second fastest and backed it up by leading 19 laps of the New England 125. Shaw was a solid contender in the top-five until a pit stop threw the handling off his No. 60 JLM Precision Chevrolet. He finished 13th.

On Lime Rock Park:

“I didn’t test there and I haven’t run any road courses before, so this will definitely be a new experience for me. We’re going in with the strategy of just staying on course, staying out of trouble, and pulling off the best finish we can. We contemplated testing in another type of car, but my crew chief, Clinton Cram, didn’t want me to develop any bad habits. I have some notes from my Dad when he ran there, but practice will be key for us.”

On his season so far:

“We started out really strong at Greenville and have had some challenges since, but we’ve been meeting our goals so far. We came into the season wanting to finish top-10 in points, and we’ve been right in line with that goal, but personally, my expectations went way up after Greenville and I want to get back to finishing top-five. Our finishes right now aren’t really reflecting where we’ve been running. We’ve been strong in the races and then had other things go wrong like flat tires. A little bit of experience and a lot of luck should hopefully fix that.”
