Newport News, VA- After a late start to the season, Casey Wyatt Racing knew that the odds were stacked against them for any chance to vie for a point’s championship. An engine miss at the onset of the season hindered Wyatt’s performance for his first three events. But, with all of that behind them, the team has been improving their finishes weekly.

In his last five events, Casey has finished 6th in three events and 9th and 12th in the other two races. However, his finishes don’t fully speak to his performances. In these races, Casey has raced with a broken shock, a tire that shrunk, handling issues and numerous restarts on the outside. All of this has created some action packed racing with pleasing points results

Last Saturday’s finishes brought Casey within 6 points of the 7th position in track standings. When NASCAR released their standings this week, Casey had broken into NASCAR’s top 100 in the nation by capturing the 86th position. By doing so, he secured 18th in the state.

This Saturday, Langley Speedway has Twin 50’s scheduled for the Late Model Stock Car division. With only four dates left on the calendar, Casey and Team 29 hope to use each race left to improve their point standing and possibly grab a win before the season comes to a close.

Casey Wyatt Racing is a NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car team based in Newport News VA. For more information on Casey, 2011 sponsorship opportunities and his 2010 race schedule visit www.caseywyattracing.com or email us at info@caseywyattracing.com.
