Buster Bennet Makes Comeback At Concord In Late Model For UARA Stars Event; Mo’s Gold Advantage Car Wax and Advance Auto Parts Sponsorship Debut
Press ReleaseConcord, NC….. Buster Bennet makes his return to late model racing at Concord Motorsports Park for the UARA Stars event this coming Saturday. Bennet was once a household name to race fans at Concord. He was the man to beat in late models at the NC tri-oval in the early part of the decade.
Many fans have been asking Buster Bennet when he will be back, and this weekend they will get their chance to cheer the local and likeable Bennet in the #31 Chevy that will debut Bennet’s new sponsors; Mo’s Gold Advantage Car Wax and Advance Auto Parts.
The #31 team is owned by Winchester Motorsports. David Winchester was a successful legends car team owner, and recruited the experienced Bennet to assist him in building his late model program. Bennet tested with the team last week and has also been working on the car set-ups along with good friend Doug Richert who has come on board as crew chief. Jason Miles serves as the team manager.
“I am really excited about coming back to my old stomping grounds,” Said Bennet. “I love racing at Concord and we have many wins here over the years and we would love to return to Victory lane. The fans are great here and we are looking forward to seeing old friends and lots of familiar faces.”
Bennet has been busy the last few years with his growing family and building his automotive repair business in Indian Trail, NC. Racing also had to take a back seat for a while when his son Trae was diagnosed with Autism. Bennet’s wife Jennifer supported Buster’s comeback to racing and she is going to be very involved at all of Buster’s races as the new director for the NC Chapter for TACA (Talk About Curing Autism). Look for Jennifer at Concord Motorsports Park this weekend, she will have a booth set up for TACA and will be raising funds and awareness for the organization.
“It’s amazing what life brings you.” Said Bennet. “When we decided to go back racing I was working on my NASCAR Nationwide program and this fantastic opportunity with the Winchester Motorsports late model came up and I was like – Wow, this is the perfect way for me to make my racing comeback, debut my new sponsors and for Jennifer to start her representation of TACA. It’s all coming together with these wonderful people and supporters, and we could not ask for a better place to start our journey together than right here at my home track.”
Other sponsors on the car include; Circle Automotive, Winchester Landscaping, RV’s Tree Service, Denny’s Mufflers and Transportation, ISP Seats and Heintz Performance.
