Brittany Finley Looking To Add To Points Lead at Gresham Motorsports Park
Press Release
In her last outing at Gresham, Finley was spun on the first lap and had to take up tail end. It wasn’t long before she methodically worked her way back towards the front to settle for a second-place finish, even while experiencing motor problems. She still remains the point’s leader.
In eight races this season, Finley has collected two back-to-back wins, three pole awards and finished in the top five each race.
Finley leads the championship chase with 880 points followed by Joel Townsend who trails by 70 points. Brandon Franklin is in the third position 112 points behind Finley.
Saturday’s GMP event will feature a large pre-race autograph session in which Finley will attend. Fans will have the opportunity to meet her and the members of the Georgia Hall of Fame at 6 p.m.
“I really love racing at Gresham, in our last race we finished second while we wasn’t fully pleased with the truck and its performance with the motor giving us problems. In order for us to get a win, we will need a fast truck and not have any motor issues. Gresham is a fun track that requires a lot of focus. I am really proud of my guys and we are all looking forward to this weekend’s event”, said Finley.
Also, Finley has been chosen by a group of NASCAR-industry executives and experts to attend this year’s Drive for Diversity combine presented by Sunoco October 17 – 19 in Charlotte, N.C. Out of 30 drivers, Revolution Racing will field six NASCAR Whelen All-American Series teams and four NASCAR K&N Series East teams.
