Mike Hillman Jr., crew chief for Camping World Truck Series points leader Todd Bodine, was taken to a hospital on Friday after apparently breaking an ankle during a pit stop accident at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Hillman was working on the crew of K&N Pro East Series driver Zach Germain during Friday’s race when he was hit on pit road. He was taken to the infield care center, then to the hospital.

“He broke his ankle and it’s pretty bad,” said Bodine, who saw Hillman at the care center before he left for the hospital.

Bodine drives the No. 30 Toyota for Germain Racing. Germain Racing also fields the No. 24 Toyota for Zach Germain in the K&N Pro Series East series.

Who would work as crew chief in Saturday’s Truck series race at New Hampshire remained unclear Friday night.
