USARacing Pro Cup Series
CONCORD, N.C. (Dec. 1, 2010)— Two of the most historic tracks in stock car racing will host dual events on The USARacing Pro Cup Series circuit in 2011. The Series will visit North Wilkesboro (NC) Speedway twice and “The Rock,” Rockingham (NC) Speedway twice, with Rockingham hosting the Series finale on November 5. Once again, the Series will host 14 races comprised of nine regular season races and a five-race Championship Series.

In addition to the North Wilkesboro and Rockingham race, the Pro Cup Series will also return to O’Reilly (Indianapolis, Ind.) Raceway Park for an event October 22. Completing the schedule are new events at Ace (Altamahaw, N.C.) Speedway, Shenandoah (Va.) Speedway plus returns to Greenville-Pickens (S.C.) Speedway, South Boston (Va.) Speedway and Concord (N.C.) Speedway. Two additional races will be announced at a later date.

USARacing Pro Cup Series Director Jimmy Wilson said he was pleased to have the schedule come together and wanted give teams as much time as possible to prepare for the upcoming season.

“We are very pleased to announce our 2011 USARacing Pro Cup Series schedule,” said Wilson. “I would prefer to have had the schedule 100% complete when released, but we felt it was prudent to release it as soon as possible. This allows our teams as much time as possible to work on solidifying sponsors and partnerships for the 2011 season.”

“We are excited to have O’Reilly Raceway Park, Shenandoah, Ace and Greenville-Pickens back on our schedule,” added Wilson. “These tracks have been very successful for the Pro Cup Series in the past and I expect 2011 to be no different. Rockingham and North Wilkesboro were very successful in 2010,” said Wilson. “We are looking forward to building on the events at these historic track with the addition of a second date at each facility.”

The USAR Pro Cup Series, formerly Hooters Pro Cup, is owned by Interstate Investment Group (IIG) and is based in Concord, N.C. For more information on USARacing, visit www.usarprocup.com.
