ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (December 15, 2010) – Rockingham Speedway unveiled its 2001 race schedule and once again the track will crown champions for two racing series.

The UARA Stars Late Model Series and the USAR Pro Cup Series will hold their season-ending races during the American 200 double-header on Nov. 5, 2011 at Rockingham.

“Crowning champions has really become our thing here at Rockingham,” said Rockingham Speedway President Andy Hillenburg. “We have had some really tight points battles come down to the final race at the track and 2011 should not be any different.”

The American 200 will be the second trip to the track in 2011 for the USAR and UARA cars. Both will be on track for the return of the Carolina 200 on May 14. There will also be racing action on the one-mile speedway on November 26 as the Frank Kimmel Street Stocks hit the track for the fourth-annual running of the Polar Bear 150.

The half-mile Little Rock Speedway will be hosting a seven-event spring series for Legends and Bandoleros. They will race each Sunday except Easter from March 13, 2011 until May 1, 2011. The cars of the Carolina Late Model Series will be joining the Legends and Bandoleros on April 17. The Allison Legacy Series will hit the half-mile in conjunction with the May 1 event.

The Chump Car Series rounds out the 2011 season at the track as they take to the infield road course for the second time on March 13-14 for a 24-hour endurance race in their $500 race cars.

“We have a great racing lineup for 2011,” said Hillenburg. “With the series that we have scheduled and with the one-mile speedway, the half-mile Little Rock and the Chump Cars on the road course, there is something for everyone at The Rock in 2011.”
