TREVOSE, PA January 16, 2010 . . . Today, ModSpace and Andy Belmont Racing announced that race proceeds won by the No. 1 Andy Belmont Racing Ford, driven by Nick Igdalsky in the 2010 ARCA Series will be donated to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

“We have worked extensively with the Red Cross in the past, especially as it pertains to the Disaster Relief Fund, and they are an organization we firmly support and stand behind,” said Charles Paquin, President and Chief Executive Officer of ModSpace. “We are thrilled to continue our work with the Red Cross and hope to see these funds make a major impact this year.”

The announcement was made today at the Eastern Motorsport Press Association Convention in Trevose, PA. The money raised will be used in the Red Cross’ efforts to help people affected by natural disasters during hurricane season, as well as floods, tornadoes, and earthquakes throughout the year. The ModSpace Ford will also carry the Red Cross logo during the 2010 season. Plans are to race the full schedule with the ARCA Series Presented by RE/MAX and Menards.

“Last year, more than 10,000 people needed our help after 750 disasters tore them from the comfort of their homes,” said Tom Foley, CEO of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross. “The work of the Red Cross never stops, and we are grateful to ModSpace for supporting local disaster relief. Our work would not be possible without our valuable community partners.”

“It is an honor to be able to support such a worthy cause with our race team efforts,” said Andy Belmont, team owner.

“The Red Cross holds a special place in the hearts of both Nick and Charles. There are many who are less fortunate than we are and we hope this helps in some small way.”

Nick will kick off his 2010 ARCA Series season by participating in the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona International Speedway. Qualifying will take place on Friday, February 5 with the 80-lap race set for a green flag on Saturday, February 6 at 4:30 p.m. on the two and one-half-mile super speedway.

Belmont and Igdalsky are excited about the new season having had a very successful three-day test session at Daytona in mid-December.

The Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 will be carried on SPEED-TV.
