Indianapolis, IN (April 14, 2010) -Sarah Fisher Racing (SFR) driver/team owner Sarah Fisher and team driver Jay Howard ceremonially presented the first 2010 Indianapolis 500 entry, for Howard’s car, to Jeff Belskus, president and CEO, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation, and Brian Barnhart, president, Competition and Operations Division, Indy Racing League, at 2 p.m. today at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Administration building on the West side of Indianapolis.

“It’s an honor for me to be competing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this year, especially as it’s the 100th year anniversary for British drivers competing at the Speedway,” said Howard. “It’s very special to have a partner like Service Central ® and I’m excited to be racing with Sarah and the entire SFR crew.”

This is the third Indianapolis 500 entry filed in the existence of the 3 year team, and team owner, Sarah Fisher, couldn’t be more excited. “We can’t wait for the #66 Service Central ® program to get started,” said Fisher. “Already in our team’s third race of the season, we are very much looking forward to Jay’s test at Kansas next week, where we will release the look of the program and prepare him and that part of the team for the Kansas Race on May 1st. I really have enjoyed seeing yellow run throughout the team.”

Howard’s car will be sponsored by Service Central ® for five races this season, including the venues of Kansas, Indy, Texas, Mid-Ohio, and Chicago. “Launching our Service Central ® automotive service offering with Jay Howard at the helm of our # 66 Service Central car during his inaugural season with SFR is a win-win.” says Orland Wolford, President and CEO, TBC Retail Group. “We look forward to kicking off this partnership in Kansas, while watching Jay take to the oval.”

Howard will be joining SFR team owner/driver Sarah Fisher, author of 99 Things Women Wish They Knew Before Getting Behind the Wheel of Their Dream Job, which is due out in May, on track at Kansas Speedway on May 1. The combination of the two drivers competing in Kansas will be a great way to start the oval part of the season for SFR.
