Sarah Fisher Racing’s Sarah Fisher And Jay Howard Open Oval Part Of Season At Kansas Speedway

“We are all very excited to get back to our program on ovals this weekend,” said Fisher, author of 99 Things Women Wish They Knew Before Getting Behind the Wheel of Their Dream Job, which is due out in May. “Ovals were our priority in the off season and we can’t wait to unfold some of our projects from the winter. As a driver, that big grin came back today when I saw my name going back on the headrest.”
The SFR No. 66 Service Central sponsored car, driven by Jay Howard, will be joining the SFR No. 67 Dollar General car, driven by Fisher, on track at Kansas Speedway. Howard signed with the team late last year to compete in five IZOD IndyCar Series events this season.
“Words cannot describe the excitement I am feeling going into the race at Kansas, I haven’t been able to sleep for days,” said Howard. “I am looking forward to having a successful debut with the No. 66 Service Central car and Sarah Fisher Racing.”
The IZOD IndyCar ® Series returns May 1 for the Road Runner Turbo Indy 300 at Kansas Speedway, which will be the 5th race of the 17-race 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series season. Practice will get underway Friday at 10:00am CST, with qualifications taking place at 4:00pm CST on Friday. The race will be aired live on ABC at 1:30pm EST on Saturday, May 1, 2010.
