INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 26, 2010) - Planters, Kraft Foods’ longtime leader in the salted snacks category, will take its place alongside 7-Eleven this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway as the primary sponsor of the #11 car driven by 2004 IZOD IndyCar Series champion Tony Kanaan.

The car, which traditionally features a familiar green-and-white paint scheme, will sport a new blue-and-white livery during the weekend as part of a larger Planters marketing activation.

Planters and Kraft Foods are longtime associate sponsors of Andretti Autosport’s Team 7-Eleven car, enjoying a relationship that is now in its eighth season of IZOD IndyCar competition.

Kanaan, who hails from Brazil and makes his home in Miami, Fla., has won 14 series races during his career, including one earlier this season at Iowa Speedway. Kanaan, who will look to make his 128th consecutive series start at Chicagoland, ranks among the best drivers all-time in series history, having won races in seven of his eight fulltime IZOD IndyCar Series seasons.

As the salted snacks category leader for Kraft Foods, the Planters portfolio includes many different product offerings, from cocktail peanuts and jumbo cashews to morning and snacking trail mixes to the NUT∙rition™ line, designed to meet today’s nutritional needs.
