Gettin’ Fuzzy with It: Golf Legend Sponsors Indy Lights Championship
Press Release“Zoeller drives home new product with sponsorship of race—‘Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka 100’—and driver Carpenter during series-crowning IndyCar weekend at HMS”

But even if Carpenter—his No. 20 car adorned with Fuzzy’s Vodka sponsorship—does not win the Cafés Do Brasil Indy 300, Zoeller will depart Miami having stamped his name on the weekend via title sponsorship of the Firestone Indy Lights Championship: “Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka 100.”
“Golf, IndyCar racing and Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka—it doesn’t get much better,” said Zoeller, who won The Masters title in 1979. “We’ve truly enjoyed being part of the IndyCar family with Ed Carpenter and the No. 20 Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka car the past few races.”
The Firestone Indy Lights Series has become a training ground and a showcase for drivers who aspire to become IndyCar greats. Indeed, the series has served as a grooming ground for current IndyCar drivers Carpenter, Marco Andretti and Rafa Matos, among others.
“Championship racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway presents a terrific vehicle for brands seeking to elevate to a higher profile,” said track president Matthew Becherer. “It’s an honor for us to welcome a golf legend like Fuzzy as a partner at the Speedway that crowns racing legends.”
Zoeller won’t have much time to putt around during a busy NextEra Energy Championships Weekend at Homestead-Miami. On Oct. 2, the green flag drops for Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka 100 at 4 p.m.; and at 7 p.m., the series-crowning Cafés Do Brasil Indy 300 takes center stage en route to crowning the 2010 IndyCar Champion, with Fuzzy’s Vodka adorning the No. 20 car driven by Carpenter. Tickets starting at $30 provide admission into both Championship-finales, and all kids 12 and under are FREE; to purchase tickets, visit THEChampionshipTrack.com or call (866) 409-RACE.
An Indiana native, Zoeller entered the spirits business in 2009 after becoming known as one of the most fun-loving personalities on the golf circuit. He has been the primary sponsor on Carpenter’s Panther / Vision Racing No. 20 since just prior to this year’s Indianapolis 500.
