HOMESTEAD, FL. (Oct. 2, 2010)- Sarah Fisher Racing (SFR) driver/team owner, Sarah Fisher, raced in a pink car for the second time in her career tonight at Homestead-Miami Speedway (HMS) in South Florida to support the fight against breast cancer. Fisher finished in the 22nd position in the Café do Brasil Indy 300. The 29-year old veteran IZOD IndyCar ® Series driver battled a lack of mechanical grip throughout the night, but never gave up the battle.

“It was definitely a tough night for us out there,” said a disappointed Fisher. “We struggled to find grip all night and you need that to move around here. We tried making several changes to improve the handling of the Dollar General machine, but unfortunately those changes didn’t help enough. We’re going to dedicate a lot of time in the off-season to finding the missing piece to the puzzle, but I’m confident that we’ll get there. On another note, it was great to be ‘On Track For A Cause’ tonight to support Susan G. Komen® for the Cure in the fight against breast cancer. I’m proud to sport pink for such a great cause.”

Target Chip Ganassi Racing’s (TCGR) Scott Dixon took the checkered flag, followed closely by Andretti Autosport’s Danica Patrick. TCGR’s Dario Franchitti captured the 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series championship. SFR sends their congratulations to Dario and the TCGR organization.

Fisher plans to stay plenty busy during the off-season. The team owner will spend her 30th birthday at the White House on Monday as an attendee of the National Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference. Fisher is also scheduled to attend USAC Ford Focus Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada and Irwindale, California in which SFR’s development driver, Kyle O’Gara, will be racing.
