Mooresville, NC (January 20, 2010) – Keyed-Up Motorsports, the new NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team founded by successful Virginia businessman Raymond Key and debuting in the 2010 Daytona 500, announced today it has named Casey Mears as driver of the No. 90 Chevy Impala.

Mears, a California native, has competed at the NASCAR Sprint Cup level since 2003 and spent the 2009 season at Richard Childress Racing. He is the nephew of four time Indianapolis 500 winner Rick Mears  and the son of Indy and off-road veteran Roger Mears.

Mears becomes a potent addition to a talented team of individuals Keyed-Up Motorsports owner Raymond Key has assembled to race
competitively on the track, including recently announced crew chief Doug Richert. Key believes the combination of Mears and Richert will exceed expectations in 2010.

“Keyed-Up Motorsports is very excited to have Casey Mears driving our No. 90 Chevy Impala.” said Key. “With Casey’s proven ability as a top driver and Doug’s vast experience as a winning crew chief, we think 2010 is going to be a great year. We’re now focused on securing full-season funding.”
