San Bernardino County, Calif. (Jan. 20, 2010) – Auto Club Speedway announced today that the “King” Richard Petty is scheduled to make a special appearance at the Party Zone fan hospitality tent during the West Coast Premiere of NASCAR at Auto Club Speedway on Saturday, Feb. 20 prior to the Stater Bros. 300 NNS race.
For as low as $30, fans can attend the Stater Bros. 300 on Saturday, Feb. 20. By upgrading for just an additional $85, race fans can experience all the perks of the Party Zone fan hospitality tent including:
- Access to the Party Zone fan hospitality tent on Saturday, Feb. 20. The Party Zone is open between 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Special appearance with NASCAR Hall of Famer, Richard Petty in the Party Zone on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 10:30 a.m.
- 5 beverage tickets valid for Pepsi & Aquafina products, beer, wine and mixed drinks for fans 21 years old and up. Beverage tickets only valid inside the Party Zone tent
- Live entertainment
- Closed Circuit TV’s
- Commemorative gift
Race fans will also have the opportunity to enter a raffle to win a 1946 Jeep CJ-2A Willy, completely restored by Petty’s Garage, Richard Petty’s new restoration company out of Level Cross, NC. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase during the Richard Petty appearance in the Party Zone. Raffle tickets are $20 for one ticket and $50 for three tickets. Only 5,000 tickets will be raffled and the raffle winner will be pulled on Memorial Day weekend. The goal is to raise $100,000 to benefit the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Richard Petty has long been a proud supporter of America’s troops and veterans. Most recently, he has stepped up to serve as the honorary spokesperson for the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Through this relationship, Richard hopes to give back to a group of individuals who have already paid a very deep price for America’s freedom.
