4th Annual Legends Helping Legends Of Racing Honors Rex White
Press Release
This year’s event will honor Rex White, the oldest living NASCAR Grand National champion. Rex White was selected as one of NASCAR’s Top Fifty Greatest Drivers. Rex White won the 1960 NASCAR Championship, beating Richard Petty by almost 4,000 points in the fight for the title. Rex raced from 1956 to 1964 with 233 Starts, 28 Wins, and 36 poles. Rex finished second to Ned Jarrett in the 1962 NASCAR Championship. Rex is a great friend to the racing community and is still very active today in his support of the sport of stock car racing. We feel privileged to honor not only a great driver, but a great individual, such as Rex White.
