SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CALIF. (Feb. 4, 2010) – Auto Club Speedway President Gillian Zucker has been named one of the most powerful women in NASCAR by foxsports.com.

In the online photo essay by reporter Rea White on its site today, Zucker, the fourth president in the history of the facility and first president to host two Sprint Cup Races at Auto Club Speedway, was named to the exclusive list of 5 most powerful women who “are influencing the shape and direction of NASCAR more now then ever.”

Along with Zucker, White names Lesa France Kennedy, CEO of International Speedway Corporation and Vice Chairwomen and Executive Vice President of NASCAR, NASCAR Nationwide first-timer driver Danica Patrick, DeLana Harvick, co-owner of Kevin Harvick, Inc., and Kelley Earnhardt, co-owner of JR Motorsports to the select list.

Zucker became the fourth president of Auto Club Speedway in 2005.   As president, she oversees all of the Speedway’s business units including marketing, communications, ticketing, accounting and operations.

Prior to Auto Club Speedway, Zucker served as Daytona International Speedway’s vice president of business operations and development.  In that role, Zucker managed the track’s multi-million dollar budget and directed operations for the Daytona 500 Experience, working closely with sanctioning bodies, broadcast partners, sponsors and vendors.

Zucker joined International Speedway Corporation in 1998 as director of business development for the new Kansas Speedway, and shortly thereafter was promoted to vice president of operational development.
