Charlotte, NC (February 24, 2010) – After testing his Monster Energy / Toyo Tires Trophy Truck this week in San Felipe,  Robby Gordon and the No. 7 Monster Energy Camry roar into Las Vegas for this weekend’s 267-lap event.  Gordon finished in the 15th-position in the same event last season, and the Monster Energy team hopes  to have another strong finish at the 1.5-mile oval.

Monster Energy Sponsorship – Just weeks before the 2010 season debut, Robby Gordon Motorsports announced an extension to their current partnership with Monster Energy Drink to include sponsorship on Gordon’s No. 7 Camry in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.  Monster Energy and Robby Gordon already have a well developed partnership through Robby’s off-road endeavors, where they pair with Toyo Tires to serve as the primary sponsor on Gordon’s Trophy Truck and HUMMER.

Robby’s Thoughts – “Las Vegas is always one of my favorite places to race,” commented Gordon.  “The excitement of The Strip easily transitions to the track on Sunday afternoon leaving everyone hyped for a great race.  We had a strong finish here last season, and we’ve put a lot of work into the Monster Energy Camry to prepare for the 2010 event.  Hopefully the Monster Energy team can finally turn our luck around to bring home another great finish in Sin City.”

Career at Las Vegas Motor Speedway – Gordon returns to Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2010 hoping to improve upon the top-fifteen finish that was recorded just one year ago around the 1.5-mile oval.  Throughout his career, Gordon has recorded 10 starts and has logged 2215 laps around the intermediate race track.

Appearance Schedule – Robby Gordon will break from his busy schedule at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to meet his fans.  On Friday night, February 26, Gordon will meet fans at The Stratosphere Las Vegas Hotel and Casino from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  On Saturday night, February 27, Gordon is scheduled to appear at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino where he will meet fans from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  He will then sign autographs at the Carnaval Court at Harrah’s from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The No. 7 Monster Energy show car will be onsite for each of the appearances as well. In addition to the above, the show car will also be at the following locations in Las Vegas:
