Biffle on Atlanta: “Atlanta is a great track to race at because it’s so big and fast. We’re taking a car there that we’ve had some success with so if our hard work pays off, it should be a good weekend for us. We’ve had great cars so far this season and probably should have finished in the top five every week. I feel confident with the way our season is going so far and I feel like that win might be right around the corner. We’re pretty excited to have the census on the car this weekend in Atlanta. We’ve been pretty lucky over the years with getting special paint schemes into victory lane, so this might just be the weekend.

Erwin on Atlanta: “The car we’re taking to Atlanta was actually our “concrete car” last year and ran very well with it. So we decided to take it to Atlanta and see what we can do with it there. The company is working very hard on our mile and a half program and we ran okay in Vegas but we’re looking for better results this weekend in Atlanta. The pit crew has been doing very well. We had a top-five car in Vegas but due to a pit road incident where we got blocked in the pits we weren’t able to capitalize on it. I am expecting good things this weekend with the Census 2010 Ford Fusion.”

Atlanta Notes

• Biffle is currently sixth in the point standings following his 10th-place finish in Las Vegas.

• Biffle is only 63 points out of the lead and holds a 70-point advantage on Jeff Gordon in the 13th position.

• Starting at Atlanta the 2010 Census will take over as primary sponsor of the No. 16 Ford for three races.

• For every one percent increase in census mail response, taxpayers will save an estimated $85 million. Those funds would otherwise be required to send census takers to collect responses in person from households that don’t mail back the form.

• Census data are used to reapportion congressional seats to states and directly affect how more than $400 billion per year in federal funding is distributed to state, local and tribal governments.
