HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (March 4, 2010) – The website for Taylor’s Finish Line Festival is now live at www.finishlinefestival.com allowing for online ticket purchase as well as information on the upcoming online auction, links to make direct donations, sponsor opportunities and detailed information on all the day’s events.

Taylor’s Finish Line Festival was created by J.D. and Melissa Gibbs, who wanted to host a family-friendly event to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Levine Children’s Hospital. The Gibbs’ family was greatly affected three years ago when J.D. and Melissa’s youngest son Taylor was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Fortunately, Taylor is currently in remission and the festival will celebrate the completion of his 3 year chemotherapy treatment.

“We are excited to have the website up and running to provide all the information for the festival as well as provide an opportunity for people to begin purchasing tickets,” said J.D. Gibbs, president of Joe Gibbs Racing. “Everything is coming together and the festival is going to be a tremendous family friendly event. There is already so much excitement that weekend with the Sprint All-Star race the night before and the NASCAR Hall of Fame induction ceremony earlier that day. We hope to really build off of that excitement to raise a lot of support for Make-A-Wish Foundation and Levine Children’s Hospital. These two organizations have really blessed our family and it has been amazing to witness how the local community as well as our partners and so many others in the NASCAR family are rallying to support the festival and these great charities.”

Charlotte Motor Speedway, along with JGR’s sponsors, partners, and friends in the community, will assist the Gibbs family to host the event on the grounds of the Speedway’s drag strip on the Sunday afternoon following the NASCAR Sprint All-Star race. The event will begin mid-afternoon immediately following NASCAR’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

There will be dozens of activities for both young and old. Events will include more than 40 carnival like amusement rides and games, inflatibles for the children, BMX and skateboard exhibitions, appearances by NASCAR drivers and personalities, and live entertainment across three stages throughout the afternoon culminated with a live concert by Grammy Award winning recording artist Toby Mac beginning at 8pm and a fireworks display that will close out the night in explosive fashion.

Tickets will be $25 for everyone ages 6 and older, while all children 5 and under will be free but will still require a ticket. All ticket information can be found at www.finishlinefestival.com. 100% of the money from ticket sales will go directly to each of the two charities.
