’50-Win Club’ Members Jimmie Johnson, Ned Jarrett, Junior Johnson Together on SPEED’s NASCAR Raceday this Weekend
Press Release
At 50 wins, the three drivers are tied for 10th on the all-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win list.
(Jimmie) is a great race driver,” said Junior Johnson earlier this week in an interview for SPEED’s NASCAR Race Hub. “He’s putting down incredible records and I think he’ll go a lot farther than he is at right now … I wouldn’t right this day rank him with guys like Richard Petty or Dale Earnhardt or David Pearson, but I am sure if he keeps on going, he’ll be there.
“Being in the Top 10 (in career wins) is something I’ve been proud of over the years,” Jarrett added for NASCAR Race Hub. “I’m a little surprised I’ve been able to stay there for that long. There is no feeling of remorse or anything of that nature (about moving outside the Top 10 with Jimmie’s next victory) … and if anyone was to do it, I’m glad that Jimmie Johnson is the guy.”
Next up for Jimmie – No. 9 Lee Petty with 54 wins.
Other guests on this weekend’s NASCAR RaceDay Built by the Home Depot include Denny Hamlin, Mark Martin, Elliott Sadler and Richard Petty.
