Food Lion Speed Street and NASCAR Rev’d Up Earn Top Honors

HARRISBURG, N.C. (March 30, 2010) – JHE Production Group Inc. (JHE) was honored by the International Special Events Society (ISES) – Greater Charlotte Chapter with two 2009 EVIE Awards. The awards were presented live during a ceremony on Sunday, March 28 in Charlotte, N.C.

JHE earned an award for “Best Green Event” for the environmentally-friendly practices implemented at the 2009 Food Lion Speed Street and an award for “Best Public Event under 20,000” for its production of NASCAR Rev’d Up.

At the 15^th annual Food Lion Speed Street, JHE introduced a recycling program that generated substantial success in collecting aluminum cans, plastic bottles and cardboard, and paved the way for other Charlotte events to initiate a similar, large-scale recycling effort.

NASCAR Rev’d Up debuted May 13, 2009, as a live concert, corporate hospitality program and interactive festival designed to engage NASCAR fans and the local community. More than 13,000 fans and 40 corporate sponsors participated.
