Clint Bowyer trades in racing helmet for hard hat
Press ReleaseNo. 33 driver partners with The Hartford to participate in
Pothole Patrol community initiative with city of Dallas

“The Hartford Pothole Patrol” is a program designed to help create a smoother commute for Dallas-area residents. Clint Bowyer, who is in town to compete in this weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS), along with The Hartford executive, Alison Clark, presented the mayor with a The Hartford-branded No. 33 hard hat to kick off the event in a ceremony at City Hall Plaza.
From there, Clint Bowyer and one repair crew traveled to their first stop, where the NASCAR driver received instruction, then with hard hat on and Jackhammer in hand, went to work. Bowyer helped the crew fill the potholes, including putting the finishing touches on the freshly-laid asphalt by utilizing the sealing machine.
“I had a great time today in Dallas with The Hartford and its Pothole Patrol program,” said Bowyer, who has registered three top 10s in the last four starts at TMS. “I really enjoyed seeing The Hartford giving back to the community in this way. They’ve been a great partner of RCR’s and we look for continued success with them this weekend.”
The Hartford, which donated the funds for materials, labor and time for all of the city’s repair crews for the day, is the primary sponsor of RCR’s No. 33 Chevrolet for three races this season, as well as an associate sponsor for all remaining 2010 events.
