2010 NSCS Team Chevy Drivers, Jamie McMurray & Juan Pablo Montoya on Team Owner Chip Ganassi’s Indy 500 Win
Press Release![]()
JAMIE MCMURRAY, NO. 1 BASS PRO SHOPS/TRACKER BOATS CHEVROLET: “Honestly, my first thought was I was happy for Chip as an owner but I was really more happy for him as my friend. We certainly have been through a lot in our time together and coming back here and winning the 500, and I don’t know that everyone on the outside maybe knows everything that has went on with this team throughout the like seven or eight months. But Chip and I have become really close and that’s really the first thing I thought of was that I was just really happy for him as my friend.”
JUAN PABLO MONTOYA, NO. 42 TARGET CHEVROLET: “It is a huge deal. I think to start with the Daytona 500, he had never done that, he was really close before. To get it done as a team was huge. And now, to get both the same year, I know how much that means for Chip and all of the Target Team and everybody involved in this organization is huge.”
HOW SPECIAL WOULD IT BE IF YOU COULD CAP THE DAY OFF WITH A WIN HERE AT CHARLOTTE TONIGHT? “It would be huge. (SMILES) We have a good race car. It is such a long race, you just have be patient with it and see how it goes.”
