• Kyle Busch led twice for 36 laps to earn WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in tonight’s Coca-Cola 600.  Busch claimed the honor for the fourth time this season.  He has now led at least one lap in 10 of the 13 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races for a total of 594 laps.  In 134 superspeedway races, Busch has led 66 times for 2,811 laps.

• DID YOU KNOW? Busch has led at least one lap in FIVE consecutive  NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.

• UNOFFICIALLY Busch leads the overall WIX Filters Lap Leader standings by two races (4-2) over Denny Hamlin, Jeff Burton and Tony Stewart.

• Busch scored a third-place finish in the Coca-Cola 600, his fourth top-five and eighth top-10.  He claimed his 60^th top-five finish in 199 career starts and the 34^th top-five effort in 134 superspeedway races .

• UNOFFICIALLY Busch is second in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship standings, 29 points behind leader Kevin Harvick and 117 ahead of third-place Matt Kenseth.

• BUSCH QUOTES: “My thoughts are what a night.  We had a really good race car.  I thought we were one of the best in that I could keep up with the 2 [Kurt Busch] and the 1 [Jamie McMurray] there in the daylight hours and getting to lap number 150 to 200 whenever we took the lead there and we were leading for a little ways.  We came to pit road for a two-tire stop and unfortunately on the exit we got tangled up with a couple cars.  I missed the first one and then the second one, I never even saw.  He was behind my door so I never even knew he was there and tore up the car pretty bad.  We had a lot of body damage and it hurt the toe and I don’t think the toe was ever right.  I actually had to move my wheel one click on the spoke.  We got that kind of repaired and I don’t know how great it looked but we got back going and the handling of the car was really, really off after that so we were just trying to fight through the rest of the night and see what we could get and salvage a good day.   We made a lot of changes to it and we kept making swings at it to try to make it better and we got a third-place finish out of it.  Real proud of the guys, real proud of Dave [Rogers, crew chief] and everybody on the team for sticking in there.  I haven’t seen Nick but I’m sure I’ll see him back at the truck.  I ran over him on the last stop leaving but hopefully he’s okay and he’ll be coming over the house anyway tomorrow so I’m sure he’ll knock me over.”
