June 16, 2010 — NEWTON, NC —Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet is proud to announce its annual Auto Show this Saturday, June 19, 2010 beginning at 8 AM. The Auto Show will take place at Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet in Newton, North Carolina and will have a number of activities and opportunities fans will not want to miss, including the chance to meet some NASCAR® legends! All proceeds from the auto show will go to the Dale Earnhardt Foundation.

Some of the activities and plans for the day include:

  • An autograph session with NASCAR® legends, Bobby and Donny Allison from 12 PM to 2 PM.
  • A meet and greet with Kerry Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt’s oldest son, and Taylor Earnhardt, Dale’s youngest daughter.
  • The Corvette Racing Tour featuring a large display from Chevrolet. Chevrolet’s Corvette Racing Tour Show features an ALMS Show Car, Victory Lane Photos, and artifacts from Corvette’s storied racing history, including its Championship Trophy collection. Also on site will be technical displays and cutaways demonstrating the tenacity of the Corvette Racer.
  • The Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower will take delivery on the #1 special edition Hall of Fame Camaro.
  • One of a kind Dale Earnhardt trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in 50 classes of car competition.
  • Food available for purchase.
  • And much more!

The Dale Earnhardt Foundation and one of NASCAR®’s most iconic names is proud to once again partner with one of the most recognizable icons on the Las Vegas strip, the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower. Executives from the Stratosphere will be on hand at the auto show to take delivery on the #1, limited edition Dale Earnhardt Hall of Fame Camaro. Only ten special edition Camaros were made and were designed as a tribute to Dale Earnhardt’s recent induction into the NASCAR® Hall of Fame as a member of the inaugural class of inductees.

“The Stratosphere is proud to once again partner with the Dale Earnhardt Foundation and Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet, and will be announcing soon how fans can get a chance to win the Dale Earnhardt Hall of Fame Camaro that will bring even more awareness to the Dale Earnhardt Foundation.  The Stratosphere will also be having special offers for Dale Earnhardt fans that will return a portion of the revenue back to the Dale Earnhardt Foundation.  When a room is booked on line at www.StratosphereHotel.com or by calling 800-99-TOWER using the special group code “EARN3” the hotel will return $3.00 to the Dale Earnhardt Foundation for each reservation” said Robin Johnson, Corporate Director of Partnership Marketing at the Stratosphere.

He continued, “This is a fun and exciting way for fans to see some pretty awesome cars and participate in some fun activities while also finding out a little bit about the Dale Earnhardt Foundation and all the wonderful things it does.”

Vehicle registration begins at 8 AM and concludes at 12 PM, when judging begins. In addition to the 50 classes of competition, there will also be an Earnhardt’s choice award selected by members of the Earnhardt family. The judging will take place from 12 PM to 3 PM with the trophy presentations beginning at 3 PM.

The auto show is free to attend while car registration charges vary. The pre-registration fee is $15 and is available until June 18 at 12 PM, while day of registration is $20 per car. There will be car club discounts for registrants.
