WELCOME, N.C. (June 21, 2010) - Zaxby’s,the southeast favorite for Buffalo wings and chicken fingers, will sponsor Richard Childress Racing’s No. 33 Chevrolet, with driver Clint Bowyer, in the June 27 LENOX Industrial Tools 301 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, N.H.

Zaxby’s is also a primary sponsor of RCR’s No. 21 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

“Involvement at the Sprint Cup level is an excellent opportunity for Zaxby’s to connect with NASCAR fans,” said Jeff Hood, financial projects manager for Zaxby’s Franchising, Inc. “Zaxby’s is looking forward to being onboard with Clint and RCR’s No. 33 Chevrolet in New Hampshire.”

Currently celebrating its 20th year, Zaxby’s operates 500 locations in 12 states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. The Athens, Ga.-based fast-casual chain built its business by providing the freshest chicken fingers, Buffalo wings, sandwiches and more in a fun, relaxing atmosphere.

“We’re excited about having Zaxby’s on our No. 33 Chevrolet this weekend,” Bowyer said. “They’ve been a great partner for us this season on our Nationwide Series program and we’d like to have a strong run with them in their first Cup race with RCR.  Hopefully, one that ends with a trip to Victory Lane.”

Bowyer is currently 14th in the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series point standings. The No. 33 team has earned one top-five and eight top-10 finishes after 16 races.

The No. 33 will return to its primary Cheerios/Hamburger Helper paint scheme next week for the July 3 Coke Zero 400 powered by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla.
