SPEED Adds Charlotte Sports Anchor Trotta to NASCAR Race Hub Reporting Team
Press ReleaseTROTTA: ‘… GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO FIND GOOD
STORIES AND GIVE THEM A FRESH TWIST’

“As we expanded NASCAR Race Hub to one hour, we had both the need and the opportunity to bring in a reporter familiar with the NASCAR community,” said Steve Craddock, SPEED SVP of Programming. “Danielle is local and very connected to the NASCAR scene, so we feel like it’s a great fit. She brings a fresh news-gathering perspective and we expect she will be a strong addition to our team.”
Trotta, a graduate of UNC Charlotte, comes to SPEED from WBTV in Charlotte, where she anchored six live sports shows each weekend, serving as the host of Sports Saturday Night and co-host of Football Friday Night and Point After with D & D.
“I’ve spent a lot of time at the Charlotte tracks with the SPEED on-air personalities and crew, so I’m very familiar with the network,” Trotta said. “This new role with NASCAR Race Hub gives me a great opportunity to find good stories and give them a fresh twist … it will be all about building on my NASCAR IQ and learning the business inside and out, so I can make things interesting and fun for the viewers.”
An experienced motor sports reporter, Trotta covered the Charlotte racing scene, including live reports from events at Charlotte Motor Speedway, zMAX Dragway and area dirt tracks, road courses and drag strips.
