David Gilliland is looking to help pull his No. 38 Taco Bell Ford Fusion team out of their slump this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Gilliland hasn’t finished with a top 25 finish at an oval track since race 12 at Dover. Indy is Gilliland’s third best track. In three career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at the famed Brickyard, he only has a better average finish at Infineon and Las Vegas.

“I think the first half of our season went well,” Gilliland said. “We were making good progress up until about three or four weeks ago when we kind of stalled out. But we’ve been working really hard to try to get some better cars. In fact, at Indy, we’re going to have a brand new car for us. So I’m excited about that.” - Full Story by Jesse Medford
