Best Buy No. 43 Crew Chief Scores Second in Charity Fishing Tournament
Press ReleaseDoing some good while having some fun is the MIS Cares way…

But this weekend, AJ learned he can also count on him in another category as Shiplett stepped down from the pit box to take part in Friday’s “Fish Your Bass Off” tournament at Jerry’s Pub & Restaurant on scenic Wampler’s Lake just minutes from the speedway.
The tournament, hosted by Michigan International Speedway’s non-profit arm, MIS Cares, raised funds in a really fun way as several teams hit the lake in an all-out sprint to bring in as much as possible as the clock ticked off the minutes.
Stepping up to the plate, Shiplett did the Best Buy/Insignia HDTV group proud as his team came home second at the weigh-in.
After docking at Jerry’s Pub in Brooklyn, Michigan, Shiplett celebrated with his new-found friends as everyone rocked out to some Lynyrd Skynyrd at Jerrys Pub.
