Convenient Off-Site Parking and Shuttle Service Offered to Richmond International Raceway Fans on Saturday, September 11

The Richmond Coliseum parking area at North 7th Street in downtown Richmond opens and begins offering free shuttle rides to fans at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11. The shuttle service back to the Coliseum parking area resumes immediately after the conclusion of the Air Guard 400 race from the track’s main entrance. The shuttle is free, but a $6 parking fee applies at the Coliseum lot.

Fans can also park their cars and RVs at The Showplace and take a free shuttle ride to Richmond International Raceway. The Showplace is conveniently located less than three miles from Richmond International Raceway at 3000 Mechanicsville Turnpike and is just ¼-mile off of I-64 at exit 192.
The cost for parking at The Showplace on Saturday, September 11 is $5 per car and $25 per RV. The complimentary shuttle to and from the track begins at Noon and operates continuously with pick-up and drop-off points at The Showplace and the main entrance to Richmond International Raceway at Richmond-Henrico Turnpike. The Saturday, September 11, Air Guard 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race headlines the Post-9/11 GI Bill NASCAR Weekend at Richmond. Tickets are on sale now, with a limited number of $40 tickets available, and can be purchased by calling 866-455-RACE (7223) or visiting www.rir.com.
Tickets are also available for the Friday, September 10, Virginia 529 College Savings 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race “under the lights.” Friday’s ticket also includes Fas Mart Pole Qualifying and practice for the Sprint Cup Series and WRIC-TV8 Pole Qualifying and practice for the Nationwide Series. Friday’s tickets are $40 (reserved) and $30 (general admission). Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult on Friday only.
