Kasey Kahne, driver of the No. 9 Budweiser Ford Fusion, will start on the pole for the third time this season in tomorrow’s Price Chopper 400.  Kahne, hit the wall in Happy Hour practice Saturday, causing damage to the right side of his race car.  Kahne talked about the incident.

WHAT HAPPENED OUT THERE?
“I just over shot turn one a little bit and got loose and got into the wall. But we won’t have to go to a backup. It didn’t affect any of the wheels, just the body.”

WILL THIS AFFECT YOU TOMORROW AT ALL? “No, it won’t have any impact on tomorrow.”

Matt Kenseth, driver of the No. 17 Crown Royal Ford Fusion, qualified in 8th place for Sunday’s Price Chopper 400 at Kansas Speedway and ran the third fastest lap time during Saturday’s first practice session.

YOU QUALIFIED WELL YESTERDAY AND RAN THIRD FASTEST IN PRACTICE, WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE FOR YOU GUYS THIS WEEKEND? “We haven’t practiced very good today. We had one fast lap, but we haven’t been running real good. All of the Ford’s showed up with more speed this weekend but I don’t really know why to be honest with you. It just seemed like they all had more speed this weekend when we unloaded.”
