Team Setzer/Logan states “We are thankful and proud to have Towneplace Suites return as a sponsor for the 2nd consecutive year and we hope to continue the relationship for many more to come. We would also like to thank Chick fil A of Hickory FSU for sponsoring us as well. We wouldn’t be here without these 2 companies being so generous. We love doing this tournament because the money they receive for entries goes to such good causes.”
The mission of the foundation is to educate and encourage people to spay/neuter their pets and to adopt dogs and cats from animal shelters; to educate children and adults about the importance of conservation so the beauty of the great outdoors can be appreciated by future generations; and to provide college scholarship funding through the Rich Vogler Scholarship program to students interested in auto racing careers.
This year’s tournament is being held at Blythe Landing in Cornelius, NC on Lake Norman on Saturday, December 11th.
Boat launch is at 7:00 am and the tournament is facilitated by BASS.
A celebrity tournament with NASCAR stars Ryan Newman, Martin Truex, Jr., Mike Skinner, Larry MacReynolds, Kyle Petty, Regan Smith and others will begin at 10:00 am. Those fishing the celebrity event will be paired up with professional anglers and will compete for the biggest catch of the day.
Weigh-in for both tournaments will begin at 3:00 pm, and it is open to the public.
