Mayfield’s request to reopen case denied

According to an order issued by U.S. District Court Judge Graham Mullen on Monday, Jeremy Mayfield’s request to reopen his lawsuit against NASCAR was denied. Mayfield alleged that NASCAR Chairman and CEO Brian France had him black flagged in the 2006 Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for no legitimate reason, and that was the reason he thought the case should have been reopened.

“This litigation has been extraordinarily and unnecessarily contentious,” Mullen said in his written decision. - Full Story by Amanda Vincent
