Content with Kansas… Justin Lofton, driver of the No. 7 Toyota Tundra, heads to Kansas Speedway this weekend with familiarity and fondness of the Midwestern track. Though a rookie visiting many tracks for the first time in Camping World Truck Series competition this season, Lofton has raced on the 1.5-mile Kansas track twice before within ARCA Racing Series competition. In his debut there in 2008, the California native started 10th and finished 12th. Last October, Lofton started from the pole, led over a dozen laps, and finished second.

Lofton visiting the troops… Lofton is heading to Kansas early this week, with plans of visiting the Army troops at Fort Riley prior to the on-track activity at the speedway. Located approximately two hours from the track, Lofton will spend his Thursday afternoon at Ft. Riley, meeting with the soldiers, and experiencing a day of training. The 24-year-old will take part in a day’s worth of activities including shooting ranges and trauma training. Lofton’s day will be captured by the WeekendWarriorsTV.com camera crew and will be featured in a special, upcoming episode dedicated to the visit.

Flying high… Though Lofton is used to going fast for a living, on Friday, he will join fellow Camping World Truck Series competitors and reach unthinkable speeds as he straps in for a ride-along with the Blue Angels. Lofton’s high-flying ride with “Fat Albert” is expected to top speeds over 350 mph.

Justin Lofton on racing at Kansas Speedway:

“I’m really looking forward to Kansas. Brett Bortle (WeekendWarriorsTV.com director) and I will be heading out to Fort Riley to spend some time with the troops. On Friday, I am going to fly with the Blue Angels. It should be a lot of fun. The Kansas race itself, I am excited about. We’re taking my favorite truck and I am looking forward to a solid run. Mark and the guys do a great job week in and week out, and it’s time to compliment their hard work off of the track with a good run on the track.”

Crew Chief Mark Rette on Kansas Speedway:

“Justin runs well on intermediate tracks and we had a great race last year in ARCA at Kansas. I’m looking forward to getting back there, on a track that he knows. We had some time off from truck competition and ran the Nationwide Series race in Texas, but I’m ready to get back to our truck schedule and building our momentum.”

Equipment Information: Lofton will race chassis RHR141at Kansas this weekend. It is the same truck he previously raced at both Atlanta and Nashville. The truck has a best qualifying effort of 10th and finish of 20th.
