NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ Newest Team Adds O’Reilly Auto Parts 250, Associate Sponsor to Schedule
Press Release“MAKE Motorsports Continues Family Spirit in Kansas with Associate Partner Twin Oaks Services South; Debut Driver Smith Hopes to Add Excitement to a Racetrack that has seen Nine Different Winners in the Series’ Nine Kansas Outings”

The team, run by two local Shelby families – Tracy Lowe & Mark Beaver – is challenging companies to become marketing partners on the Truck scheme in order to support nonprofit organizations throughout its 8 scheduled races. For all marketing partnerships with the team, MAKE Motorsports will donate a percentage to local charities.
“We are having a great time so far in the NCWTS, everyone has been so warm & welcoming to the idea of having a ‘hometown’ team who really just wants to get out there and go racing,” said Tracy Lowe, MAKE Motorsports co-owner & one of the only female team owners in NASCAR. “When we set our original budgets, we were anticipating racing only tracks on the East Coast & Superspeedways. We were surprised to do the logistics & planning, & to see that Kansas could be a part of our schedule. It’s an exciting track, an amazingly-well run facility & another great opportunity for our team to learn!”
Twin Oaks Services South CEO Bob Straight said, “It is a pleasure to work with this team. I have known the owners for several years and they have always strived to be the best in the forms of motorsports that they compete in. This is a great opportunity to provide marketing and hospitality to the geographic area that our company services.”
MAKE Motorsports plans to run a select number of 2010 races in Camping World Truck Series in the #50 Dodge – to include Nashville, Charlotte, Talladega, Kentucky & Darlington; it is their hope to then run an entire 2011 season for their rookie year. Kansas was added to the schedule in late April. Driver GR Smith will pilot the #50 MAKE Motorsports Dodge Ram for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 race, as well as the other planned races with MAKE Motorsports entries.
Co-owner & veteran stock car motorsports team owner Mark Beaver said, “In a year that is already turning into a whirlwhind, this is a great choice for us to be able to race Kansas. With 82,000 possible spectators at an awesome facility, that can be a little intimidating for a smaller team – but we’re up to just about any challenge. Not only are we grateful for the opportunity, we are grateful to be able to showcase racing to the most passionate fans in NASCAR – the Camping World Truck Series fans & families. For a family-run team that tries to stay humble like ours, it is what racing is all about.”
Driver G.R. Smith is looking forward to continuing his on-track education in Kansas. “I love that Kansas is my first tri-oval experience. With upwards of 15-degree banking in the turns, it’s a fast race track that requires a lot of finesse in the handling. At the end of the day, every driver not only loves to race, but go FAST!”
