Rick Crawford Joins Ray Hackett Racing For Kansas
Press Release
Aside from his truck series record for career starts, Crawford has also posted five wins, seventy five top-5 finishes, one hundred fifty nine top-10 finishes and six poles during the span of his fourteen year career. Crawford has also started 116 straight races since he sat out the 2005 Kentucky race after a hard crash in practice.
Team owner Ray Hackett stated “We are thrilled to have Rick in one of our trucks at Kansas. He is obviously still one of the most talented drivers in the series today. We feel like we have a great F-Series Truck ready for him and are looking forward to a strong top-10 finish. Rick has stayed so faithful to the Ford blue-oval over the last 14 years and we are glad that he will be continuing that dedication with us.”
Crawford is no stranger to the 1.5 mile oval at Kansas either. He is one of only four drivers that have raced in all nine previous truck races at the Speedway. In those nine races Crawford has scored three top-5 finishes including back-to-back second place finishes in 2006 and 2007, and six top-10s.
Crawford stated about his new relationship with Ray Hackett Racing: “While we continue to search for sponsorship that will allow the No. 14 Circle Bar Racing to return to competition, I look forward to the opportunity to help Hackett Racing establish themselves as a contender in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Travis (Sharpe, crew chief) has assembled a solid crew of racers, most of whom worked for Bill Davis during his championship run, and I’m excited to help them baseline their Ford F-150 this weekend at Kansas. This is simply an example of one Ford driver helping a fellow Ford organization.”
SUPERSEAL Construction Products will provide the primary sponsorship for the team and Crawford at Kansas. The North American leader in dimpled membranes for waterproofing or dampproofing previously partnered with Ray Hackett Racing at Martinsville and Nashville and is enthusiastic to come aboard once again with Crawford in the driver’s seat.
