AUSTIN DILLON QUOTES:

You’re coming off of a career-best NCWTS finish at Kansas two weeks ago and a dirt Late Model win last weekend. Does that give you momentum heading into Dover?

“Any time you can have a good run it gives you momentum. As a rookie, the long breaks in between truck races this season has been tough because it’s hard to build up momentum in your racing program. Running late model races has helped me and I’m ready for the Dover truck race. I’ve raced at Dover in an East car and I can definitely say it’s a fast, fun track.”

Is your grandfather, Richard Childress, extremely involved with your racing program?

“He’s always involved, which is a good thing. It’s always good to have input from a man with as much experience as he has. He talked to me at the beginning of the Kansas race about moving to the top and it took too long at the beginning for me to get up there. Finally, I got mad and just did it and the truck started working. The truck picked up speed and the race went well for us after doing that.”
