The N.C. Education Lottery 200 is a homecoming for the teams racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series who are running as a prelude for the Sprint Cup All Star race. For SS Green Light Racing’s Jason White the Charlotte Motor Speedway is all about running good in front of your peers.

White finished fourteenth at Charlotte in 2009 and he feels that the team is poised for a much stronger run on Friday night, “I think we have this truck running really well right now and I feel we are going to be running up front this week. I’m excited!”

“Charlotte is such a cool track,” a smiling White said. “It’s the All Star weekend! Everybody is at the track; friends, families all the crew guys from all the series come and watch this weekend, tons of media.”

“It’s a playoff atmosphere. What can I say, it’s just such a cool weekend for everybody in NASCAR.”

Following last weekends Dover 200, it has been a busy week for Jason. On Monday the GunBroker.com team who traveled to Pocono Raceway for a NASCAR test session at the two and a half mile tri-oval in preparation for the NCWTS inaugural race at the Pennsylvania track in July. Following the test Jason traveled to Yankee Stadium in New York with Denny Hamlin to see the Yankees vs. Red Sox game before returning to Charlotte.

The SS Green Light team is bringing the same GunBroker.com Dodge Ram that they ran at Atlanta earlier this year. “It’s a truck we call “50 Cal” and it was very good at the test at Pocono, “ said White. “The guys are bringing it back to the GunBroker.com shop to clean-it up and get ready for Charlotte on Friday.”

SS Green Light General Manager Bobby Dotter is ready for the challenge of racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway. “The guys on all of our teams are doing a great job getting the trucks prepared each week. I think we have proven we belong in the top-ten in points,” Dotter explained. “Jason, Doug, all the guys get along good and that chemistry is key to consistency each week.”

There are forty-two trucks entered for the hometown race on the fast mile and a half oval in the heart of NASCAR country.

The N.C. Education Lottery 200 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway is a one-day show for the NCWTS on May 21st. There will be two morning practice sessions with qualifying at 3:30pm. The race will be shown live on SPEED TV at 8:00pm and will also be broadcast live on MRN Radio and Sirius Satellite radio.
