Brett Butler, driver of the #47 Fuel Doctor Chevy, was in a slump. After wrecks at Dover, Kansas, and Nashville, Butler needed every remedy available to break that streak.

The Georgia native took the green flag at the back of the pack and slow and meticulously picked off positions all night in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200.

“This is not the way we wanted to race but desperate times calls for desperate measures. We needed to finish. We’ve had fast trucks for the past several weeks, but have not had the finish to show it. Despite the situation, we had a goal for the race and accomplished it. In one piece!” stated Butler.

The team will now focus on rebuilding the inventory of trucks from the past few months. “It’s been a rough start to the season, but every week our trucks and drivers are getting better. It’s a long season and there is still time to charge back to the front,” stated owner Rick Ware.

The next race for Butler will be at the Winstar World Casino 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on June 4th.
