MOORESVILLE, N.C. (May 31, 2010) – Jennifer Jo Cobb scored her career-best NASCAR Camping World Truck Series finish in May’s N.C. Education Lottery 200. Her 18th-place performance has her optimistic for a banner outing at Texas Motor Speedway. Cobb’s No. 10 Driven Team plans on using the same setup and notes from the Charlotte event in hopes of picking up where they left off.

Cobb is now 18th in overall driver standings, but more importantly the team sits 24th in owner’s points which means they are locked the WinStar World Casino 400.

“I think we’ll approach Texas much like Charlotte. The first thing we need to do is go out there and run three to five laps. We’ll take it easy and see what we’ve got with the truck, make sure it’s not too loose or too tight. We’ll ensure there’s nothing that could get us in trouble right off the bat. From there we’ll work on our speed, getting faster and faster.

“We’re really proud of our run at Charlotte. That was my best Truck Series finish to date. We learned a lot from that race and we’ll be able to apply that at Texas. All of our notes and setup info from Charlotte is going to be our base for Texas. Momentum is a huge part of this sport. We’re gaining speed and getting better each race. We’re unloading off the truck faster at each track and I’m feeling more confident as the season goes on. Hopefully we’ll capitalize on that in Texas. We’re locked inside the top-25 in points. We can dedicate more time to getting comfortable in race trim, which should have us more competitive for the main event.”
