Press Release
VENUE: POCONO RACEWAY (2.5-MILE TRI-OVAL)
CIRCUIT: NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES (RACE 13 of 25)
EVENT: POCONO MOUNTAINS 125 (50 LAPS, 125 MILES)
DATE: JULY 31, 2010
CARMICHAEL AT POCONO: Ricky Carmichael will be making his on-track debut at Pocono Raceway as the Pocono Mountains 125 will be the first visit by the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series to the “tricky triangle.”
CARMICHAEL ON TRUCKS: Carmichael’s last race came at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, where he finished in the 14th-position. So far this season, Carmichael has scored one top-five (Dover) and three top-10 finishes (Atlanta, Martinsville and Iowa) in the first 12 races of the 2010 season.
CARMICHAEL ON COMPETING AT POCONO: “I’ve never been to Pocono, but I’m definitely looking forward to it. I watch the Cup races there on tv, but obviously it’s going to be much different when I’m there and in the truck. It will be a busy weekend for me of learning, but I know that everyone in the truck series will be in the same boat.”
BEHIND THE WHEEL: Crew chief Mike Fritts has chosen chassis No.9 for Carmichael to pilot at Pocono. This is a brand new Leavitt chassis for Turner Motorsports and the Monster Energy team.

MEET THE DRIVER: NASCAR fans will have the chance to see Carmichael, and ask him a few questions of their own, when he visits the Sprint Experience at Pocono on Friday, July 30th at 2 pm.
HIT THE POLLS: It’s time for NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver fan vote! Carmichael won the award last season and is hoping his fans will help him win a repeat. Go to NASCAR.com (http://www.nascar.com/news/features/2010.truck.mpd/index.html) to cast your votes today.
