NEWS AND NOTES FROM THE RAYBESTOS® ROOKIE CONTENDERS – NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES

Justin Lofton was the Raybestos® Rookie of the Race in the July 31 Pocono Mountains 125 at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway. Lofton scored a fifth-place finish, his second top-five this season, claimed top Raybestos® Rookie honors for third time in 2010.

DID YOU KNOW? Austin Dillon scored a seventh-place finish at Pocono, and has now finished SEVENTH OR BETTER in each of his last SIX starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Dillon is the only Raybestos® Rookie in series history to win THREE CONSECUTIVE pole positions, capturing the top starting position for the 2010 WinStar World Casino 400 at Texas Motor Speedway (race No. 8), VFW 200 at Michigan International Speedway (race No. 9) and Lucas Oil 200 (race No. 10). The most poles by a Raybestos® Rookie in series history are FOUR by Greg Biffle (1998) and Kurt Busch in (2000).

Dillon leads Justin Lofton by 40 points (178-138) in the overall Raybestos® Rookie standings entering the August 7 Nashville 200 at Nashville (Lebanon, Tenn.) Superspeedway.

Dillon was the top Raybestos® Rookie in the 2010 Nashville 200, claiming a 14th-place finish.

Johnny Sauter was the top Raybestos® Rookie in the 2009 August race at Nashville, grabbing a sixth-place finish.

Carl Edwards is the only Raybestos® Rookie to win in 10 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races at Nashville. Edwards won the 2003 race by 1.209 seconds over Ted Musgrave in 2003. He is also the only Raybestos® Rookie to lead the most laps at Nashville, leading twice for 76 of 150 laps.

RAYBESTOS® ROOKIE HISTORY

Johnny Sauter won 2009 Raybestos® Rookie of the Year honors in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Sauter was the top rookie 14 times in 25 races and his official margin of victory over Tayler Malsam was 57 points (270-213). He scored his first win at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway (race No. 20) in his 31st career start, 2.474 seconds ahead of teammate Matt Crafton. He finished the season with one win, two poles, seven top-five, 13 top-10 finishes and placed sixth in the series championship standings.

- Kenny Irwin was the first Raybestos® Rookie to win a race in the Camping World Truck Series. Irwin captured the Florida Dodge Dealers 400K at Homestead-Miami Speedway on March 16, 1997. He took the checkered flag by .289 seconds over Mike Bliss.

- Irwin also holds the record for quickest win by a Raybestos® Rookie in the Camping World Truck Series, scoring his first career win at Homestead in just his third career start.

- TWO Raybestos® Rookies have won consecutive pole positions: Austin Dillon (2010) and Kurt Busch (2000).
