At a track deemed Too Tough to Tame, Brett Butler looks to have only his rookie strips on his Rick Ware Racing #47 Chevy when he leaves South Carolina and the Darlington Raceway this Saturday in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Too Tough to Tame 200.

“I’ve talked with a few veterans, asking for some pointers. The best answer I got was, ‘Don’t hit the wall.’ I hear it’s easy to get yourself into trouble there, so my main goal is to race the track, not the competitor and keep the truck in one piece,” Butler said.

Darlington Raceway is known to deal out it’s infamous Darlington Strip to even the wiliest of veterans; however, Butler has no plans of falling victim to the Lady in Black.

“I’ve been preparing for this race since I first saw it on the schedule. It’s one of those races that you circle and give a little extra attention to. It’s not a cookie-cutter track. I know a large part of Saturday’s race will be about survival, so I’m just looking to gain as much experience as possible. I think if you attack Darlington looking to set off fireworks and turn heads, that’s when you get yourself into trouble,” Butler explains.

Practice for this event starts at 9:30 am on Saturday, August 14th with qualifying following at 4:00 pm. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Too Tough to Tame 200 will be televised live on Speed Channel from the Darlington Raceway in South Carolina on Saturday, August 14th at 7:00 pm EST.
